We offer a sliding scale to make our services as accessible as possible, while also paying ourselves fairly.
We live in a world with systemic issues that contribute to economic and class injustice. As a result, we offer a sliding scale. We want to make our services as accessible as possible, while also paying ourselves fairly. We hope to be able to offer more lower-cost services as we continue to grow.
Our hourly service rate is $250.
At any given time, we aim to have:
Six clients at $250/hour (Tier 3)
Three clients at $150/hour (Tier 2)
One client at $50/hour (Tier 1)
We share this with the intent of being fully transparent with our clients. Once we decide to work together, we will ask you which rate you are able to pay; we will never question you about this or ask for proof of any kind. Given that information, we will build a proposal and be sure to include that rate. The scope of the proposal will be the same, regardless of the rate. Depending on our capacity, you may need to join a waitlist. We will try our best to be realistic about timeframes and our availability.
We also accept donations of any amount, which will go towards either increasing the number of Tier 1 clients we can accept or creating a scholarship for future clients. If you are able and willing, support other aspiring dreamers like you and help them achieve their goals!
Here is a very brief rundown of how we determined the tier structure:
The highest rate (Tier 3: $250) is our actual hourly service rate. If you choose a price below the top tier, you are receiving a discount.
The middle rate (Tier 2: $150) is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little expendable income. Paying for this class may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.
The bottom rate (Tier 1: $50) is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for our services would still be a significant hardship.
We learned about this and adapted it from Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s Green Bottle model of the sliding scale. We encourage you to read her blog to learn more about it, and how you can contribute to a more equitable society for all.
